Japanese forest grass is a shade-loving, deciduous perennial grass. Gracefully arching, bright green leaves form a dense, spreading, cascading mound 12-18" tall and to 24" wide. The leaves resemble that of some types of bamboo. There are variegated varieties as well as the standard green leaved ones.
